November 2016 – Inspired by the clean edged silhouettes of the Regency period, the gentle curves of Beaumont & Fletcher’s new Warwick sofa fit perfectly into the modern interior as well as a more classical setting.
The sofa is immensely comfortable – far more so than the original English Regency sofas whose elegant design inspired the Warwick.
“If this were a Regency sofa, it would not be as comfortable,” says Beaumont & Fletcher’s Creative Director, Jana Durisova.
“The women of that era perched, because of their corsets, on the edge of the sofa, having a cup of tea!”
The new Warwick sofa is much more welcoming.
“Contemporary lines with period inspiration, is very comfortable. The Warwick has lovely lines: it is very simple. It does not have too much stuffing.”
The sofa, in fern Como silk velvet, is the centre piece of Beaumont & Fletcher’s latest full page advertisement in the January 2017 edition of the World of Interiors, and in The English Home.
Handcrafted in England on a seasoned beech frame, the Warwick sofa embodies the Beaumont & Fletcher ethos of timeless design, combined with traditional craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail and materials of the highest quality.
English artisans with many years’ experience have crafted the Warwick to the highest standards of workmanship.
The legs in seasoned beech have a soft curve and are integral to the frame.
Only natural fibres of horse hair, cotton and coconut fibre are used.
Beautifully upholstered in the fabric of choice, finishing touches can include self or contrasting piping and brass, nickel or antiqued nailing.
